16. when blood glucose levels go up receptors in the pancreas detect the elevated level and release insulin which convert free glucose into glycogen which is the storage form of glucose.
17. this is a form of negative feedback, because an increase in the level of product causes the body to regulate and decrease its level in the system.
18. due to excessive sugar in the blood, the pancreas rapidly produces insulin which will convert as much sugar in the blood into glycogen which could lead to the levels dropping even below normal untill the insulin production is stopped.
