identical allele on both the chromosomes.

Homozygous organism can be of following two types :-

1 - Homozygous dominant -: In this ogranism carries two copies of the same dominant allele. Dominant alleles represented by capital letters eg. AA.

2 - Homozygous recessive - In this type organism carries two copies of the same gene which is recessive gene. Recessive alleles represented by small letters eg. aa.
