Other fruits that could be recommended instead may include; peaches, dates, figs, or prunes. Tomatoes and dried apricots are also good sources of potassium. One note with medications, never recommend grapefruit. Grapefruit causes a reaction with digoxin which can cause the drug not to be removed from the body at the correct rate and could lead to a potential overdose because of increased levels of the drug.
