The name that they give to this phase is G0. Some cells once they are produced, they immediately start preparing for another cycle of cell division. However, there cells that have slower cell cycles (divide more slowly) or they do not divide at all. Some cells are permanently in this phase, while others just wait for a signal to start their division.
