Why is an energy pyramid a diagram in understanding food energy relationship

An energy pyramid is helpful in understanding the relationship between food and energy, because the most energy (generally grass, or plants) is at the bottom, and meat eating predators are at the tippy top (less energy). Producers, primary consumers, secondary consumers and tertiary consumers are all on the energy pyramid. I hope this was helpful:)
