Wetlands are highly prolific and biologically distinct practices that improve water quality, check erosion, manage water flows, segregate carbon, and render a shelter to at least one-third of all endangered and jeopardized species. Wetlands are essential because they enhance water quality and contribute to wildlife environment.

A) Biodiversity will remain constant and although the existing top level consumers will be wiped out, they will be replaced by other species. B) The sea lamprey will work through the food web, top to bottom. The old web will collapse and there will be a drastic decrease in biodiversity. C) The consumers with the purple and blue bands will become extinct. The producers and herbivores will dominate the ecosystem. Biodiversity will decline.
