The conditions required for the full sequence of abiotic organic assembly into increasingly complex biochemical molecules ultimately necessary to perform metabolic and reproductive functions critical in living organisms is not fully understood. This is due to the fact that colocation of critical elements is necessary, coincidence of these materials is required to enable chemical interaction at precise timing settings, contamination mitigation is essential due to the highly reactive nature of some elements, and concentrations of necessary elements is critical to enable the required biochemical assembly. 

The experimental designs must replicate Earth's initial geochemical environment if the intent is to truly re-creating the origin of life, so the type and level of required energy sources must be produced, and temperatures, pressure, humidity, and surface conditions must be properly replicated. 

The control of geochemical environments to produce all essential assemblies within even the simplest cells includes: 1. homochiral amino acids critical to nucleotide DNA formation, protein, enzyme and RNA  assembly, 2. construction of lipid formation for cell membranes to support and control environment interfacing, 3. homopolymerization of sugars for nucleotide side chains; and 4. mechanisms for coding and assembly of the nucleotide chain essential for protein fabrication and the RNA forms necessary for complex cellular functions must be understood more effectively to develop proper experiments. This is not a trivial issue.

Well, both latitude and intensity of light affect temperature because, the higher the light intensity, the higher the temperature and since latitude is the measure of how close you are to the equator, then the closer to the equator you are, the higher the temperature is.
