Capillary action is the process of a liquid flowing in a narrow spaces without the assistance of, or even in opposition to, any external forces like gravity.

Surface tension is the tendency of liquid surfaces at rest to shrink into the minimum surface area possible. Surface tension is what allows objects with a higher density than water such as razor blades and insects to float on a water surface without becoming even partly submerged

Heat of vaporization is the quantity of heat that needs to be absorbed to vaporize a particular quantity of liquid at a constant temperature. If the solutions of vapor and liquid states are compared, the kinetic energy of the steam is proved to be higher than the kinetic energy of the fluid. In other words, the heat of vaporization is the total amount of heat required to turn a particular quantity of liquid into vapor without any rise in the temperature of the fluid.

pH is a measure of how acidic/basic water is. The range goes from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral. pHs of less than 7 indicate acidity, whereas a pH of greater than 7 indicates a base.
