PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN THERE MITOSIS QUESTIONS 3. In prokaryotes (simple, single-celled life), the genetic material is not contained within a separate organelle (nucleus). Prokaryotes also have none of the other apparatus eukaryotes (cells with a nucleus) have to separate the duplicated DNA. They have just one chromosome. How might such a cell duplicate so that the two copies of DNA appear in separate daughter cells?
