A population of birds was separated into two groups during a storm one group of birds made it to the tropical rainforest on the mainland while the other group landed on an island with a much drier climate. How might each of these populations of birds change over 1000s generations based on their environment? When reintroduced, brought back together, what will determine if different groups of birds are still one species or two different species?
