In what ways do water and carbon move through the environment?

Through the water cycle and the carbon cycle. Sometimes these two cycles overlap and help each other in different ways

Both Water and Carbon move through cycles:
Water:

-In oceans/rivers/bodies of water.
-Water is heated by the sun and evaporates
-Water condenses into clouds in the sky
-Clouds overflow with water, resulting in precipitation (rain, snow, etc)
-Water returns to the earth through rain

Carbon:

-Carbon is exhaled by humans
-Carbon is absorbed by Plants
-Plants release Oxygen and use the Carbon to create energy/food

Ultimately, the answer is through cycles.
