At the 1992 earth summit, representatives from around the world

One of the major highlights done during the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro was that the international leaders adopted a "global standard" in addressing the rising environmental and climate changes. The Agenda 21 was initiated at the summit which furthermore cements the need for having a sustainable global economy.
