Chronic pollution may result to different diseases or illnesses to humans.  For instance, air pollution gives respiratory problems, water pollution may cause lack of drinkable water, land pollution may cause certain plague or epidemic that can greatly affect the life of every individual in a certain area, and may reach worldwide.

The pressence of unwanted substances in water is called as the water pollution.

The short term effect or immediate effect of water pollution can be sorted out and it is not deadly. It has no long term effect on the human beings and animals. It can be solved out using some temporary methods and programs.

The chronic water pollution is very harmful when it comes to animals and human beings because the long term effect of water pollution can be bad. Presence of radioactive elements in water can cause mutation as of long term effect.

The diseases like typhoid, infectious hepatitis, dysentery are also caused as a effect of water pollution. Re-occurrence of the diseases again and again shows that the water is polluted and is showing an chronic pollution which is not good for the health of people in longer terms.
