Volcanism occurs where magma flows up to the earth’s surface through cracks in the crust within a plate. this type of volcanism created the hawaiian islands.

It would be intraplate because it is within a plate ie the Hawaian Islands occur within generally an oceanic plate consisting mainly of basalt of silica and magnesium composition which results mostly in lava outpourings. Conversely, it is at the convergent plates ie where the Pacific oceanic plate pushes under the continental plates of North and South America that commonly the pyroclastic type of volcanoes occur like Pacaya in sight of Guatemala City.
