The inheritance patterns of some traits in rabbits are listed in the table below. Rabbits show some variety in their fur and eye color. In rabbits, gray fur is dominant to white fur.
Also in rabbits, black eyes are dominant to red eyes.
For the fur color gene, the allele for the presence of gray fur (G) is dominant and the allele for
white fur (g) is recessive. Likewise, for the eye color gene, the allele for the presence of black
pigment (B) is dominant and the allele for the red pigment (b) is recessive.
