In which parts of the world is an equinox most different from the other day of the year?​

The day of equinox is the day of sunrise or sunset at the North or South Pole. That's a big change up there, where it is dark for 6 months, then light for 6 months (approximately -- twilight lasts for several weeks before sunrise and after sunset!)
