Biólogas de la Universidad del Quindío analizaron la diversidad de poblaciones de escarabajos (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae) en bosques
de los Andes centrales de Colombia. Durante la
fase de muestreo seleccionaron cinco sitios de
estudio y realizaron cuatro muestreos cada dos
meses, entre diciembre de 2008 y julio de 2009.
En cada sitio trazaron un recorrido lineal con un
área de 100 x 2 m y usaron dos métodos de colecta en 11 estaciones de muestreo por sitio.
