Imagine you just graduated and you have been offered a wonderful job in Atlanta, Georgia. However, your parents and brother live in the mountains of Virginia. Before you leave for Atlanta, you decide to take a week to visit family and friends. While home you learn the mountains behind your parents home will be mined for coal using the mountaintop removal method. Your parents who will still live there, are worried for their health and safety and do not want to lose the beautiful forest and creek behind their property. However, your brother is out of work and could use a mining job. What would you attempt to do in this situation?
