A group of students were trying to understand how meiosis works. They picked a bunch of dandelions in order to examine the developing seeds and found two distinct groups of cells, A & B. A 2 column table with 4 rows. Column 1 is labeled Observation # with entries I, I I, I I I, I V. Column 2 is labeled Prediction with entries the cells in group B had chromosomes in 2 distinct lines; the cells in group A divided and produced 2 daughter cells; sister chromatids were pulled apart by microtubules in group A; chromosomes were made up of 2 sister chromatids in group b.

If the students wished to determine which cells are undergoing meiosis I or meiosis II, which observations would be useful to help with making the distinction?
