Why do some cells divide faster than others and some cells do not divide after they are formed? Into which group does cancer fit, and why? Justify your answer.

Some body parts, for example, such as muscles, red blood cells, nails, skin, and hair, wear out and/or they die, and therefore they are constantly replaced. To replace the worn out parts and dead parts, there is need for cell division.  Other body parts last longer. For example, the liver will last as long as a person lives, and in fact liver failure is one way a person will die. Liver cells are normally not replaced, and therefore there is normally no cell division in the liver. Cell division in these body parts would simply make them bigger and bigger and that may result in illness or even death. In fact, cancer cells are cells that should not be dividing but they continue to divide non-stop because something went wrong.

Explanation:

the level of progesterone is low at the pre-ovulatory phase of the cycle but it gradually increases and the levels are high at the luteal phase. if pregnancy occurs, the level of progesterone will be high throughout the pregnancy.

if egg is fertilized and the mother gets pregnant, progesterone starts preparing the uterus for the implantation. it starts building up the lining of uterus and make it hostile of the period of pregnancy.
