Were there more producers than consumers and more consumers than predators on your pyramid? Why or why not? Were there any that could have fit in more than one category? A mouse eats 100 times his own weight in grain in a lifetime. You can see that plants must produce a great amount of food for just one mouse. What do you think would happen if grain was no longer available for the mouse to eat? How would it affect other organisms in your ecosystem?
