It’s effect will be that since there are no more plants in a certain area, that ecosystem will suffer largely especially if it is in a desert or location with little water to begin with. Precipitation will decrease which will cause dry spots in some areas that even might spread to forests which will cut down the health of trees which emit the Oxygen we need to breathe which will then increase our chance of lack of Oxygen.
