What does it mean to identifying, organizing and understanding matter?

- Identifying matter

Identifying matter refers to the process of understanding both the physical and chemical properties of a certain matter.

For example, when identifying oxygen, we know that it's tasteless, odorless. and colorless. These are the physical properties of oxygen. It also has an tomic mass of  15.999 g.mol -1 and a melting point of -219 °C. These are the chemical property of the oxygen.

- Organizing matter

Organizing the matter refers to grouping several different matters into a group based on a certain characteristic. We can use either it's physical and chemical properties in the criteria.

- Understanding matter

Understanding matter refers to having the knowledge on how a certain matter will interact with its environment or how it will transformed if it's being put on a special circumstances.
