PLEASE HELP ASAP 70 POINTS AND BRAINLEIST I JUST NEED THE CONCLUSION QUESTIONS DONE Lab Report for Population Dynamics Lab
Population Dynamics Lab Report
Instructions: As you complete each slide of the Population Dynamics Virtual Lab Activity, please fill in this lab report with the appropriate information and data.
Title:

List the variable descriptors for the lab here.

Prey Initial Size: The starting number of prey. (Assume that the seals have an unlimited amount of food.)

Prey Growth Rate: The birth rate of the prey. The larger the growth rate, the faster the prey population will increase.

Hypotheses:
Prediction 1: If the starting population of the prey is higher than the predators, the resulting population of the seals will be higher than the population of the whales.

Prediction 2: If the starting population of the predators is higher than the prey, the resulting population of the whales will be higher than the population of the seals.

Prediction 3: If the prey growth rate increases, the resulting population of the seals will be higher than the population of the whales. (Both starting populations set to 25.)

Prediction 4: : If the death rate of the whales increases, the resulting population of the seals will be higher than the population of the whales. (Both starting populations set to 25.)

Be sure to answer the following reflection questions as a summary paragraph in the conclusion of your lab report:
THIS IS WHAT I NEED ANSWERED BELOW

1) Were your hypotheses correct or incorrect? Why or why not?

2) Which factors affecting population growth and decline are modeled with the graphs?

3) Using Table 1, which of the three trials produced the highest population for both the whales and the seals? Why do you think this trial had the best outcome for the whale and seal populations?

4) Using Table 2 and 3, explain how the birth rates of the seals and the death rates of the whales affected the population for both whales and seals.

5) If scientists added a chemical to destroy the arctic microbes, what positive and negative consequences could result? What population settings could you adjust in the simulation to test components of this solution?

6) Climate change in the form of global warming (an abiotic factor) has slowly decreased habitat for the arctic seals. What are the limitations of the population dynamics simulation in predicting the changes that may occur due to climate change?

7) Imagine that all nations agreed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by half in an effort to reduce global warming. In what ways could you revise this simulation, so it accounted for the influence of this solution on arctic habitat, and on the whale and seal populations?

Crinoids, also known as sea lilies, appear to be sea plants but are not plants at all. crinoids are an echinoderm species which uses anchoring structures called holdfasts to attach themselves to the sea floor. crinoids were most abundant in pennsylvania during the mississippian period, which ranged from 375 to 320 million years ago. fossils of the crinoids shows that during most of this time pennsylvania was that provided favorable conditions for crinoid growth. a) glacial terrain b) a dry and sandy plain c) mostly mountain ranges d) covered by warm, shallow seas
