How do floods affect the lithosphere

Floods affect three spheres of the Earth (hydrosphere, biosphere and lithosphere).Animals can drown or be forced to relocate habitats, and plants can be killed due to the lithosphere being deprived of oxygen. However as water soaks in areas of the lithosphere, it can make the the land fertile.
