Most climate scientists believe that Earth's climate is warming, leading to a series of problems such as rising sea levels, increased extreme weather events, and an altering of growing seasons in many regions of the world. This change in the climate system is due in part to the release of air pollution from the burning of coal, oil, and natural gas. One proposed solution to this problem is to release light-reflecting sulfate aerosols into the atmosphere that would reduce the amount of solar energy reaching Earth's surface. Some scientists believe that engineering our atmosphere in this way could lead to many unexpected consequences. Discuss the differences between science, ethics, and morality in evaluating this engineering problem, and provide your own opinion on the proposed solution
