Do the principles of stratigraphy apply on the Moon in the same way as they do on Earth? Bear in mind that the processes operating on the Moon have been very different from those on Earth. If you had to determine the relative age of features on the Moon, based entirely on satellite photographs, what would you look for and how might you proceed?
