The absorption of nutrients takes place by diffusion through the small intestine's wall.

Some of the nutrients that the small intestine absorbs include lipids, proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, proteins, etc. The inner wall of the small intestine is lined with epithelial tissue.

In the small intestine, there are epithelial cells and they help increase the amount of surface area that is available for nutrient absorption.

The absorbed nutrients are then transported through the blood vessels to the organs in the body. They're then used in the building of complex substances that the body needs.

In conclusion, the food that remains undigested will then be sent to the large intestines.
