Which of these energy resources might replace dwindling petroleum supplies one day?

the answer is b.   oil, coal and natural gas have been the conventional resources that have been used since time memorial as a source of energy in the global economies. as the resources become scarce, then other options are explored. nuclear energy has not been fully explored but will be when the challenges of safety are addressed. tar sand (also called bituminous sand) is another unconventional energy resource. oil sand is a loose sand composed of naturally occurring clay, sand, water and bitumen mixture.  

it's unlikely a majority of a large population would agree on issues
