Some individuals of particular species of sea bird underwent genetic mutation resulting in larger beaks. After many generations almost all birds in the population had big beaks for what 2 reasons did this occur

the offspring would all be white. if the parents are both white flowers then they have the genotype rr, which when crossed results in an all white punnet square.
