A scientist cites fossil evidence to argue that modern whales evolved from relatively small, land-dwelling mammals. The scientist claims that a variety of fossil findings can be ordered in a sequence that demonstrates the evolutionary lineage.

Which analysis of the fossils would be most useful to support the scientist's claim?

A. width and length measurements, which should be the same for homologous bones
B. mineralization analysis, which would identify the specific minerals in each fossils
C. radiometric dating, which would show the absolute age of each fossil
D. biogeography, which should show that all the species lived in the same region.

Animal bodies (and even plant bodies for that matter) are complex enough that life couldn't exist without enzymes. enzymes are usually large, complex biological catalysts that are expensive to make. enzymes speed up the rate of chemical reactions without being used up during the reaction (they can be reused many times). they are highly specific in the reactions they regulate. knowing what enzymes are and how they function, why does this explain why complex life forms could not exist if there were no enzymes.
