The NBIN or National Integrated Ballistic Identification Network, provides law enforcement agencies around the world with information from the IBIS.

With these two pieces of technology forensic scientists around the world can identify bullet and casting features, these two can possibly find a match to a gun. They also help with knowing things like the distance from where a bullet was shot from the gun to the target. This is indeed a form of Technology Improvements, we. wont say that technology in the forensics world has not drastically improved, but these two are a step in the right direction.
