Echinoderms are organisms that live on the ocean floor. Echinoderms include sea stars and brittle stars, sea urchins, and sea cucumbers. Sea cucumbers move by swimming or squirting water. Sea stars and brittle stars walk on the sea floor using tube feet. Describe the environment in which these organisms live. Predict the adaptations that would be beneficial to echinoderms for living in this environment.

measuring light intensity

light meters can be used to measure light intensity. the meter is held at the soil surface and pointed in the direction of the maximum light intensity, and then the meter is read.

errors can be made when measuring light intensity by accidentally shading the light meter. the reliability of the results can be checked by taking many samples.

it marks things for degradation via the proteasome. it alters there celluar location.

the last one: artificial selection/genetic engineering

plant breeding is modifying the genetic composition of the plant - but this isn't cloning (which is specifically introducing a gene into a genome). but you are artificially selecting for the phenotype that you want.

the second one is literally genetic engineering - the gene would have been cloned first and then inserted or genetically engineered into the new plant cell (the cotton).
