How does an organisms behavior affect its chance of survival and reproduction

An organisms behavior has a great affect on its chance of survival and reproduction. There are some behaviors through which an organism defend their family and helps in the protection of his population from predators which increase the chance of survival and the population of organisms will also be increased. Animals also have mating behavior which allows them to reproduce and increase in their population.
