The factor that would serve as stimuli for erythropoiesis are: Hemorrhage, aerobic exercise, living at a high altitude.

Erythropoiesis is the process in which the body develops red blood cells from erythropoietic stem cells.

The main stimulus to begin erythropoiesis is a decrease in oxygen circulation. This is detected by the kidneys, that will proceed to secrete a hormone called erythropoietin to stimulate the proliferation and differentiation of the precursors of the red blood cells.

Hemorrhage, aerobic exercise, living at a high altitude would all produce a decrease in oxygen circulation.

The process of manufacturing or producing the optimum number of red blood cells or mainly the RBC's is termed as the erythropoiesis. As, the RBC's plays a vital role in the transportation of oxygen molecules inside the animal body. So, there can be many factors which can enhance the body's demand to create more red blood cells as some of the stimuli are mentioned below:
