1. Mammals are one of the most diverse classes of Chordates. Both the skeleton and the diet have
played a key role in the radiation of this diverse class. Describe specific skeletal changes
(address bones from head to toe) and dietary categories (address teeth types and digestive
tracts) that have separated the class into distinct taxa. Give examples of herbivores, omnivores
and carnivores, and specific animals that possess these traits. Include any specializations which
