The structure of a DNA molecule is a double helix, like 2 ladders twisting. These helix's are made of sugar phosphate groups, making the backbone of the molecule. On the inner area of the molecule, you have bands. These bands are adenine, thymine, cytosine, and guanine. According to Chargoff's rule, for every pair there is another- specifically, if there's an adenine base, you have to connect it to thymine, and vice versa. If there's guanine, it has to connect to cytosine. These bases are nitrogenous, and the molecule in general is made of nucleotides. Each nucleotide contains a sugar group, a phosphate group, and a nitrogenous base. The order of the bases determines the information in the DNA.
