I'm not quite sure what exactly your question is, but here's something that might help.

Explanation:

Diffusion is the random motion of molecules from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration.  ( By the way, concentration is a measurement of how much solute exists within a certain volume of solvent.)

Osmosis, however, is the tendency of a solvent to travel across a semipermeable membrane into areas of higher solute concentration.  An example of this process would be drinking seawater. If you were to do so, osmosis would cause water to move out of your cells into the area of higher solute concentration ( the salt in the seawater you just drank). You essentially dehydrate your cells and therefore can die ( if you drink enough). Again, I'm not sure what your point was in your question, but I hope this helped! :)
