In rats, the allele for pigmentation (P) is dominant to the allele for albinism (p). The gene for black pigmentation (B) is dominant to the gene for cream pigmentation (b). If the dominant P allele is absent, gene B is inoperative. What is the expected phenotypic ratio of the offspring from a cross of an albino rat heterozygous for black to a cream rat heterozygous for pigmentation?

Question 12 options:

1 albino : 2 black : 1 cream

9 black : 3 albino : 4 cream

1 albino : 2 cream : 1 black

The endoplasmic reticulum (er) is an organelle in some cells. in these cells, it is continuous with the nuclear membrane and forms a large part of the cell\'s total membrane. sort the phrases below as describing rough er, smooth er, both, or neither. note: if you answer any part of this question incorrectly, a single red x will appear indicating that one or more of the phrases are sorted incorrectly.1) found in prokaryites and uekaryotys2) involved in protein synthesis3) involve in lipid synthesis4) contains molecular chaperones in lumen5) bound with ribosomes6) involved in toxin or drug metabolism7) large systemot internnected tubules, vesicles, and sacs8) "packages" enzymes in vesicles for secretion.

Mouse liver cells were homogenized and the homogenate subjected to equilibrium density-gradient centrifugation with sucrose gradients. fractions obtained from these gradients were assayed for marker molecules (i.e., molecules that are limited to specific organelles). the results of these assays are shown in the figure. the marker molecules have the following functions: cytochrome oxidase is an enzyme involved in the process by which atp is formed in the complete aerobic degradation of glucose or fatty acids; ribosomal rna forms part of the protein-synthesizing ribosomes; catalase catalyzes decomposition of hydrogen peroxide; acid phosphatase hydrolysis monophosphoric esters at acid ph; cytidylyltransferase is involved in phospholipid biosynthesis; and amino acid permease aids in transport of amino acids across membranes. a) name the marker molecule and give the number of the fraction that is most enriched for each of the following cell components: lysosomes; peroxisomes; mitochondria; plasma membrane; rough endoplasmic reticulum; smooth endoplasmic reticulum.
