How can a magnetic field be produced, using a wire, a battery, and a nail?

A)Wrap the wire around the nail over and over again then attach it to the battery.
When the electricity flows through the wire the nail will spin.

B)Wrap the wire around the battery over and over again. Then attach each end of
the wire to one terminal of the battery. When the electricity flows through the
coils, it will produce a magnetic field.

C) Wrap the wire around the nail over and over again. Then attach each end of the
wire to one terminal of the battery. When the electricity flows through the coils,
it will produce a magnetic field.

D) Wrap the wire around the nail over and over again. Then attach only one end of
the wire to one terminal of the battery. When the electricity flows through the
coils it will produce a magnetic field.
