Different types of bonds hold different time periods in which it takes for them to reach full value.

      The type of savings bond I would encourage you to use would be a Series 1. The interest that comes with this bond has two parts. The regular normal interest, and a rate of inflation interest. If the government has an inflation of 10% then the interest added to your bond will also be 10% plus the normal interest rate. Another plus that comes with this bond is that it will reach it's full value within a one year time period. Other bonds can take up to 10+ years to be of full value.

      Benefits that come with purchasing a savings bond can help fund the goverments employees salaries, including its soldiers, and it also helps pay for buildings, equipment needed.
