Water is one of the required reactants for photosynthesis. it provides electrons which are energized by sunlight and used to make energy carriers like atp. where do plants get the water they need for photosynthesis?

The water the plant use is from the soil which is utilised for the process of photosynthesis.

Photosynthesis occurs in the leaf, that is why water is carried to leaves from soil. This follow a process which water is absorbed by the roots. Inside the cells of the root, there is a higher concentration of minerals than there is in the soil surrounding the plant. This creates root pressure, which forces water up out of the root through the xylem as more water and minerals are “pulled” into the root from the soil.

In root there is xylem (vascular tissue) which conducts water. In xylem also water is carried or conduted by xylem vessels and xylem tracheid. Tracheid and vessel carry water + mineral =sap to the leaves( chloroplast).

During photosynthesis sunlight provided energy(light energy converted to chemical energy) . carbon dioxide is taken from the surrounding by the stomata of leaves and oxygen is released out as byproduct. And starch( food) is formed as main product.

a neutral ph of 7 and normal organism temperature is needed for a certain enzyme to be effective.  

what would happen to the enzyme if the ph and/or temperature fluctuate greatly from the norm?
