some similarities between ducks and alligators :

Duck is a specie of bird also known as water fowl because they are mostly found around water habitats. they can live on both land and water and this is possible because their feet has a web like structure which enables them swim in water.  

Ducks and alligators share similar breathing system and are usually found in similar habitats because ducks build their nest over alligator infested waters in order to keep away predators from attacking their nest.

Hence we conclude that Ducks are covered with feathers while alligators ar covered with hard scales and Ducks have no teeth while alligators have teeth while ,They both swim, They have similar breathing system, They can survive on land.

Well... to start off with,

DIFFERENCE: Ducks are fluffy and soft, alligators are not.

ALIKE: ducks bite and alligators bite.... Alligators swim and ducks swim as well.
