Green house and hydroponics farming is an innovative farming method that allows crops and plants to grow without soil. The plant and crop roots are supplied with mineral solution essential for its growth. Also the land requirement for such farming is very less and better quality crops can be grown.  

Alley cropping is practiced with the aim of preventing soil erosion. Large woody trees are planted in multiple rows along with crops and plants in between these rows.
