Citric acid cycle or tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle is the part of cellular respiration. This cycle is carried out in the mitochondria matrix. Citric acid cycle begins with the entry of 2 carbon compound acetyl Coenzyme A (CoA). In one turn of the cycle, one molecule of acetyl CoA enters into the cycle.
