This frog species evolved from a group that uses primarily auditory signals (songs) to attract mates. it lives near tropical waterfalls, where it can be difficult to hear those signals, and interestingly, has evolved a second signal, "leg-waving." develop a study design that might allow you to determine whether the leg-waving serves only to get attention, or if females use male leg-waving to assess mate quality.
