so basically when mitosis happens the DNA splits in half and goes to different parts of the cell and then the cell slowly gets pulled in half and then everything on the previous cell is on the two cells after mitosis is done but each organism would have half the amount of DNA as the original

it is because according to the process , scientific inquiry is a process with many steps because each step occurs to the scientist and if you just skip a step there would be no steps to scientific inquiry.
