Here are three questions. i was going to give more points but i'm only able to give 98.

q,1: ps25, ps26, ps27
lt: describe what makes one organism more fit than another.
lt: explain natural selection.
some birds in a population have an allele for long beaks and others for short beaks. a drought has caused change in the ecosystem now seeds are harder to find. birds with longer beaks can dig the seeds out more easily than birds with shorter beaks.
a) describe and explain which type of bird is most fit for the ecosystem post-drought. (4 pts)
b) how will the drought change the allele frequency in the population? (4 pts)
c) this is an example of natural selection, explain why. (4 pts)

q2: ps25 & ps 26
lt: explain the importance of genetic diversity in a population.
a swamp contains a high genetic diversity of frogs. toxic chemicals were released into the swamp. how can genetic diversity the frog population survive?

q3: ps22
lt: use the hardy-weinberg equation to understand allele frequencies.
a mole has two alleles for fur color, b = brown fur and b = white fur. in a population of 100 moles, 12 have white fur.
a) what is the brown fur allele frequency? (4 pts)
b) the mole population is at hardy-weinberg equilibrium. how does the gene pool of the population change over time? (4 pts)
