Phrenology is considered a pseudoscience because it lacks quality experiments. Since phrenology is the study of the brain by looking at the size and the shape of the skull, there is no biological proof through experiments.

The study of personality traits, mental tendencies, and talents as a consequence of skull curvature is termed as phrenology. It is regarded as a pseudoscience as it is devoid of scientific support for its claims. However, the study has contributed to medicine as its fundamental premise is that the mental activities are localized in the regions of the brain.  

Phrenology relies upon the concept that the brain refers to an organ of the mind and physical areas in the brain can offer something to the character of an individual. Apart from its popularity it was controversial and is now been discredited by science.
