Well here's why :) The hammer and feather would both fall at the same rate and hit the ground at the same time because this demonstrates Galileo's discovery that in the absence of air resistance, all objects experience the same acceleration due to gravity. Galileo held out a geologic hammer and a feather and dropped them at the same time which proved his discovery/experiment.

it also supports my hypothesis. if you rest first you can squeeze the clothespin more times. from the data i collected the average of the eight people concluded exercise makes your muscles more fatigued and less able to squeeze the clothespin compared to resting before squeezing.
